New York, May 10, 2004….Schlink Haus German wines has joined with Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization in the fight against breast cancer. The company, along with Wein-Bauer, the wine's Chicago-based importer, forged the relationship which has promised a minimum of $75,000 donation to the organization.

The program, which kicked off in Illinois and is now running nationally, designates a $3.00 donation to Y-ME for every case of Schlink Haus wines sold in retail shops and restaurants throughout 2004. Each bottle of Schlink Haus wine features a neck hanger and design on the capsule incorporating Y-ME's pink ribbon logo, drawing consumer attention to the donation program.

"Our wines have increasingly gained a customer base which is primarily female and we are happy to contribute to an organization which is so supportive of this crucial women's health issue," said Guenther Schlink, president and owner of Schlink Haus wines.

The cooperative program will aid Y-ME in its mission to ensure through information, empowerment and peer support, that no one faces breast cancer alone. Y-ME answers any breast health questions and provides information and support to those touched by breast cancer through a network of national affiliates, at www.y-me.org and via the Y-ME National Breast Cancer Hotline at 1-800-221-2141 (English) or 1-800-986-9505 (Spanish). Interpreters are available in 150 languages on the English hotline.

The Schlink Haus winery is a small family-owned and operated enterprise in Germany's spa town of Bad Kreuznach on the Nahe river. Four separate wines are included in the brand's offerings in the U.S.: a Riesling QbA, and three Prädikat wines (Kabinett, Spätlese and Auslese), each representing excellent quality and value.
